The medical school in Hradec Králové is one of the five medical faculties in the Charles University, the oldest university in Central Europe. The faculty in Hradec Kralove has approx. 1,400 students enrolled, about one quarter of whom are international students. All practical and theoretical components of the programme are taught at a high level and meet the highest international standards.
The University Hospital is located in the immediate vicinity of the lecture halls and houses 37 individual clinics and 1,500 beds. 4,000 doctors and nurses are employed there. It is one of the leading hospitals in the Czech Republic. The hospital is actually spread across a beautiful, park-like campus in a number of smaller buildings.

The programme in Hradec Králové does not have grade-based quotas. Your school grades are not considered in your application. However, you do need to pass a test covering the natural sciences to be admitted. Your English skills are best demonstrated by passing a language test such as TOEFL or IELTS or with corresponding grades in school. This is not required if you happen to be a native speaker of English.
